Vol.19 National Travel Support, Still a Great Deal!
The "National Travel Support," which resumed on January 10 of this year, has been in effect for about two months now, and it still seems to be useful for graduation trips and workations, among other things.
The "National Travel Support" program, which started in October last year to stimulate tourism demand, was temporarily suspended until December 27 due to concerns about the risk of infection, especially before the busy year-end and New Year period. The "National Travel Support," which resumed on January 10, has seen a decrease in the discount rates for travel expenses and the amount of coupons, but it is still quite advantageous. The government has clarified that prefectures with remaining allocated budgets can continue the program after April, so this is a great opportunity to travel affordably. Now, let's take a look at the detailed contents of the National Travel Support. ■ Overview of the National Travel Support (from January 10) Discount rate on travel expenses: up to 20% → Travel with transportation: Discount up to 5,000 yen per person per night → Accommodation and other travel without transportation: Discount up to 3,000 yen Coupons available for use in the region → 2,000 yen per person per night on weekdays and 1,000 yen on holidays *In principle, these are electronic coupons, so you will need to download an app. With these two forms of support, the maximum subsidy can reach 7,000 yen, making travel very economical.
